Got a chance to watch “Divine Madness” tonight once again. I know it is a concert movie, but I just love it. Am looking forward to watching “Gypsy” this weekend too at the bear retreat, on the big ole projection TV that is there. Am going to save “Neptune’s Daughter” for viewing on Monday. Apparently it must go back to the library Tuesday. Will be taking notes and waiting to discuss with all of you on the 15th. ---

Me! I want to join. My library consortium has Neptune’s Daughter and it should be in this week. Woo! The musical I’d like to see again is so obscure it never was even on imdb until recently. Not to worry, if it ever gets around to me, I won’t pick that one. 😃 ---

😃 I’m so glad you liked it! I was having nightmares of everyone coming back and saying “you put us through hell to get hold of a copy of _this_?!?!?!” I haven’t (re)watched it yet, because I know I’m going to be too antsy for the discussion to start once I do – I’ll watch next weekend and write my OP then, for posting on Wednesday. ---

Though it isn’t as famous as, say, _42nd St._, _One Hour With You_ was an Academy Award Best Picture nominee and hardly what I’d call obscure to musical-lovers (and I’m positive that it’s been on the IMDB for several years at least), though it is admittedly difficult to track down and therefore unsuitable for this Society. ---

Found a nice link with a cast list and plot synopsis here . 🙂 Am newish to doing all of this so here’s hoping it works. 🙂 . I suggest that those with the DVD turn on the cast commentary for one viewing. Lots of insider info from Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards. ---

Le Jazz Hot was terrific of course. Michael Nouri has a terrific singing voice too. But I think Tony Roberts was miscast as Toddy. He played him way too fey for my taste. ---

I loved the movie when I saw it years ago… except that I didnt like James Garner’s character. I think he felt intrusive to me. I will rent it again this week and see if my feeling has changed any. Thanks **SVF** for giving me a justification to see it again! 😃 ---
