Yeah, that’s exactly what it was. I don’t think it was like that last year. I thought the site was broken and eventually gave up, leading to my second strike. I’m really annoyed - my first strike was a case of not saving. I picked Dallas and it didn’t save. Then the second time I meant to switch from LAR to LAC - and ran into the issue where I didn’t realize clicking the X was necessary, so I guess my fault, but they changed it from previous years and it wasn’t super obvious. So I have two strikes where I intended to pick the right team, but was prevented by yahoo dumbness. And I posted about them in this thread before the games, so I’m not BSing about that. Oh well. ---

Yeah, I’m pretty sure last year you just had to click on a new team to change it. I also don’t think you had to hit a “save” confirm button after making your choice, so maybe they were having issues with people accidentally changing their choice without realizing it. This is going to be an interesting week as there are so many games on the schedule which seem like a slam dunk. I’ll probably change my confidence ratings ten times before Sunday. And yet, it’s the NFL and there will be a couple of upsets. ---

Only one person was right in survival - asterion picked Oakland, which seemed like a risky pick compared to some of the options, but he got it and we didn’t. 5 of us picked New Orleans as a 14 point home favorite against Atlanta. 4 picked Indy against Miami. One NYG against the jets. And one non-pick. It was the third strike for 7 of us, leaving our contest down to 5. I’m going to keep playing along unofficially, because I kinda got hosed earlier in the year. One of my picks didn’t save properly, and the other I didn’t they changed the interface and you had to unselect a saved team before selecting another - I thought it was glitched and wasn’t able to carry out the changes. So I feel like those two strikes weren’t real. But it’s unofficial so feel free to disregard. FTR, my intended picks were Dallas in week 3 and LAC in week 4. I posted about them on the thread before the games, so I’m not making it all up. My playalong pick this week is Oakland. ---

I played all three contests. I came in close to last for **Pick 'Em** and **Confidence**. But somehow managed to WIN the \*\*Spread \*\*contest. Yay me! but that being the case, how come I owe my bookie and not the other way around? Ha. ---

Posting here since some of you may be subscribed to this thread. I totally forgot about starting these leagues this year until asterion remembered and started them going. He created a [new thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/sdmb-nfl-pickem-and-survival-leagues-2020/920176) with the league info. I also sent out invites to last year’s pick 'em league participants. If you get in soon, you can pick Thursday night’s game, but if you miss that it’s not really that big deal, it’s just one game in the grand scheme of things. Even if you miss the whole first week, remember that we drop everyone’s worst week, so it’s not crippling at all. So hop in whenever you get this message.
