When someone complains about something, and then someone else does that exact thing in reply. As if it’s comedy. For example: **Poster 1:** I hate it when people put apostrophes in the wrong place. **Poster 2:** Yeah! I ha’te t’hat! Oh, my aching sides. ---

My big huge pet peeve is the drive-by posting of blind links, especially blind links to URLs that aren’t at all indicative of the content of the page. For instance, in a thread about, say, Worst Romantic Comedy Movies Ever, someone will link to the IMDb page for a movie, but instead of giving a descriptive link like [Reality Bites](http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0110950/), they’ll break the most fundamental rule of the hypertext link and their one word post will be “[Nauseating](http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0110950/).” forcing everyone to actually click on the link and wait for the new page to load to know what the hell they’re talking about. As a common courtesy, the words in the link should indicate, in some fashion, what the link is for. Phrases like “click here” or something else cutesy (unless clarified by the context) do nothing to enhance the conversation and are just lazy. When it appears without any context, I’m surely not wasting my time clicking, and boo hoo to you if you get upset when I give your “answer” too. You didn’t give an answer, you posted a drive-by. Sometimes I remember to preview my post, other times I just click “submit” and then :smack: see that everything I said has already been said, and usually better. I should find a better way to navigate the boards, clearly. ---

As an atheist, I agree with your point; I find it disrespectful to make references to the IPU or MSP. I guess the only thing that believers accuse me of that annoys me is that I have “faith” in atheism. There is something in the internal makeup of a person who has faith that does not seem to be capable of understanding a mindset devoid of it. Tell you what, Joel. Never accuse me of having faith, and I promise not to compare God to either of those acronyms. (As a gesture of goodwill, that is the first time I have capitalized the word “god” in over 5 years.) ---

Posters who try to turn a question in GQ with a factual answer into a Great Debate. Q: “What is the heaviest bullet commercially available for a .45 Colt?” A: “Guns are evil and should be banned!” You may be correct but it doesn’t help the OP much. SUV questions draw a lot of this too… ---

Mine has to be the rebirth every few weeks of the “What does your username mean?” " your gender" threads. Hell read the old ones kids and add your info to them… Other than that I am pretty cool… Joel? I wanna know about the fairy \*\* tails \*\* in your original post. Sounds like a fun time…😃 ---

I kind of get annoyed by people starting threads in great debates over things that have been discussed to death a million times before, like creationism VS Evolution. Enough already! If you have any questions on the topic, chances are they’ve been answered in one of the **millions** of posts already made, just use the search function to look for them. ---

I thought of another one, well, only because I just came from a post that reminded me of it. Nonetheless, I absolutely loathe it when someone says something ridiculous and then come back later when he/she has been yelled at/given a talking to/any kind of reprimand, and use the excuse of “Oops, I was tired/drunk/not thinking clearly.” Listen people, if you’re tired/drunk/not thinking clearly, you shouldn’t be posting. Get off the boards and go to bed/sober up/do something brainless (like watch the idiot box). It’s bad when they say something totally off the wall, but to use such lame excuses to try to weasel out of why people shouldn’t be upset or whatnot just makes me want to whap them with a fish. ---

I don’t care how good is your command of the English language: if, when you strip all the elaborate verbosity from the OP, what’s left is a trivial grievance, then post it in MPSIMS. People who don’t bold others’ usernames. Especially if the username is an actual word. 1920s style deathrays. ---
