I just restarted the server to implement an upgrade. If you were registered for tonight’s game (I think I saw two registrants, but didn’t think to check names first, sorry) you will need to re-register. Sorry! If you were pre-registered and can’t re-register before game time for some reason, but can PM me, I can manually re-register you for a late arrival, if needed. ---

We should maybe talk about moving “The Game” to PokerStars HomeGame for the next quarter. Mavens has its limitations, and I, for one, would be in favor of a move. It’s not like we haven’t moved before - I think that The Game has been played at about a half-dozen sites. ---

The only problem I have with moving “The Game” to PokerStars is the blind structure at PokerStars vs Mavens. Stars simply does not increase fast enough IMO. It actually starts out ahead, but falls behind quickly. If we do go to Stars (and I agree it is far more robust than Mavens) we should go to 5 minutes increase on blinds and increase the chip amounts from 1500 chips to 2000 chips. ---

Our last tourneys with 6-8 people left, all with 5-10 BBs, late in the tourney have been a little ridiculous, IMO. (Much more ridiculous is that I can’t seem to adjust very well) I understand that’s the nature of SNGs, and I understand we don’t want to be playing cards for 3 hours, but the Stars’ blind structure doesn’t seem that onerous to me. So I’m OK with moving to Stars as it is, and have no problem with **Mensa** ’s suggested changes. ---

probably no surprise here, but I’m more than happy to move to Stars. the delays and hangs with Mavens are related to my lack of upstream bandwidth, and I’m happy to be free of the guilt lol ---
