… when you ask somebody a question in a post, and they ignore you? It used to bother me, but lately I have learned to assign priorities to stuff, and an answer like that is way low on the pole. Just wondered… Thanks Q ---

It’s just after 11pm. Only kidding 😃 Questions I ask usually get answered. I cant remember a recent instance of a question I’ve asked not being answered. But if it does happen I just assume the person missed it, or is doing something else. ---

Doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I think I prefer it if nobody responds to any post I make. Cuts down on arguing. ---

Not really. I usually try to read every response to a thread before adding my own, just in case someone has already said what I’m about to say. By the time I get to the end, sometimes I’ve forgotten that I was going to answer someone’s question or I can’t remember what I was going to say. That sounds pretty sad… Anyway, I never assume I’ve been ignored, but, if I really need and answer, I’ll just ask again or pm. ---

Doesn’t usually bother me. I assume that most of the questions are rhetorical. Is something like, “Thanks, fervour, maybe that’s a reason to do such and such?” really asking for an answer? I usually interpet such as an “I acknowledge your existence and your welcome to continue the dialog if you like.” I don’t think I’ve had a question posed directly to me, and if I’ve ever posed one that hasn’t been answered, like others I assume that the other poster missed the request for information. ---

Well, yeah… I guess you’re right about that: several of mine could have been considered rhetorical, and I _am_ kinda guilty of carrying on a “conversation” in posts when I really shouldn’t be doing that, but every now and then, I _do_ ask a serious question, but I think that when I don’t get an answer, the person has moved on or is no longer subscribing to the thread. And there **was** a time when I mighta gone a little ballistic, and said something like “Hey! Am I invisible all of a sudden or what?”, but like I said, it’s just not that important now. “So why’d you bring it _up_ then, **Brainwave** ”??? I was just marvelling at how calmly I’m taking the rejection, **okayyyyyy**???😃 Kidding! 😉 Q ---

That doesn’t bother me. Sometimes it bothers me a little if I’ve put in the effort to type out a detailed multi-part response to an OP and they don’t bother to address it in any way–even just to tell me I’m wrong! I’ve been lucky. I usually get great answers to my questions (when I’m in GQ). I love the responders there - no snark - just help. It does bother me a bit if I ask a question that makes sense to me in the context of an existing thread in IMHO or somewhere else, and people talk “over my head” and totally ignore my little voice. I don’t think it’s a big deal. If someones asks a question in a thread and I take the time to do a little research and post my answer and then my answer is ignored, it’s annoying. Very annoying. ---
