Would have switched to Ike since Stevenson wasn’t much different policy-wise and Ike made a good caretaker President.

But at least Stevenson was not associated with Nixon. And it’s about time we had an egghead in the WH.

I would have voted for Eisenhower in 1952 and stuck with him in 1956.

Weren’t the “unpledged electors” actually votes for Andrews? I believe there was some legal reason his name couldn’t appear on the ballot in some states.
