I don’t visit the Game Room very often but could you clarify that this doesn’t affect cheap shots directed at fandoms.

i.e. calling Louisiana State “[corndogs](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/bama-lsu-2012-final/639820/5)”  
or in baseball, the Atlanta Cowards or Boston [Red Sux](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/mlb-hot-stove-offseason-2018-2019/823890/149) etc.  
or for television, i.e. “[Hell no, I randomly answer poll questions to mess with you Trekkie nerds!](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/polls-only-no-discussion/953642/1728)”
