I went to pick up my mail this morning after skipping it for a couple of days and all I can say is “Wow”. It was overflowing with ads, bills, and lovely valentines from my fellow dopers. Thanks for all the bills guys. I was truly impressed with the effort you all put into these things. I took the easier route of post cards with a quote from my journal of quotes I keep handy, in case I see a snake. The only effort I put out was to drive a little bit out of my way to get a special postmark. In the batch today I received cards from **Anaamika, vivalostwages, monica, rocking chair, Medeas Child, phall0106, Annie X-mas, CapnPitt, Lily of the Valley, ** and Susie Derkins. Thanks to all!
Crap!!! I told my roomates to take my outgoing mail to the postoffice on monday. This included my valentine’s cards along with the overdue electric bill. Today I found out that the stack of envelopes is still sitting on their desk! I’m on my way out the door now to mail them. So sorry for the delay! 
Those dopers in California may well get theirs on Monday, others will take a couple more days.

Anaamika and monica, I got your valentines today! I loved feeling my name in raised letters, and the little “London” stamp was too cute.
Alrighty. Either the Post Office is not giving me much love this Valentine’s Day, or you Dopers are trying to tell me something. As previously mentioned, I got a broken heart from ChoosyChipsandCeilingWhacks. Today, I got a decapitated angel from rocking chair!

I’m guessing the bookmark was not supposed to be in two pieces? The envelope was torn open, so it’s a good thing you used a sticky in there, or I would probably not have had a bookmark at all! I may tape it back together, just because I like the idea of marking my books with decapitated and dewinged angels.
Mine went out today - they’re kind of…um…let’s call it “experimental”
They should arrive soon.

I’m a little worried no one has recieved cards from me yet. I sent out the first batch Wed and the second Friday. I put chocolates in them. Do you think the post office wouldn’t deliver them like that?

WOW! I got a fat stack of valentines cards in the mail today. I want to thank everybody who sent me one(and everyone who participated in the exchange) (I may have a big list of “Thank You’s” tomorrow). They are all great, and I really enjoyed them!!

I got valentines today! Thought everyone had forgot the lowly canadian but, lo and behold, many valentines, and a tattoo, and some candy…it’s absolutely wonderful!
