My favorite veterans are Lt.Commander Nick Foery, USNR (ret.) and J.B. Anderson, USCG (ret.)… my dad and my grandpa. Thank you, dope vets. I wish I could serve. ---

Well, I’m **way** late. Hope I don’t get an LOR. A1C, USAF, Active Duty 1998-Present. 3C052 - Computer Systems Programmer. I’ve never fought in a war, and I’ve been and am going to be stationed right here at Maxwell-Gunter AFB for the rest of forever. But that’s okay, because I’m very proud to be an Airman. I had no idea we had so many AF people on these boards. ---

Ended up as a US Army Spec.4. MOS was 98G2LKP. Had a security clearance and everything. Anyone else been to Camp Humphries in South Korea? I was there 13 months, 1976-77. REALLY makes you appreciate the United States! When the plane lifted off from Kimpo we broke into a spontaneous cheer. ---

1rst Lieutenant, Infantry, later Armor, USAR, later HI ARNG and KY ARNG, 1992-present. Maybe Special Forces, if I stay in. I have 90 days to decide. Best things I ever said or believed: “Rank is simply a badge of servitude to one’s men” “Lead from the front!” “What are your thoughts, sergeant?” “Sergeant/lieutenant/captain, how can I support you and your mission?” Best thing I ever DID? pull on my boots and go to the field with those men in the first place. I’m so proud of our soldiers/airmen/marines/sailors! P.S. I made the Captain’s list. God help us! ---

What! I was asleep! Dang it, late again! Sgt.(E4) Particlewill, USAF, 1984-88. R.A.F Lakenheath, U.K., Loring A.F.B. Middle of nofreekinwhere, Maine. Perhaps we should also list any decorations, medals,etc? I did manage do get a Navy Meritorious Unit Citation while in the Air Force, as did almost all with whom I served at Lakenheath… ---
