I’ve got a WAP-enabled GPRS phone, and yesterday I thought I’d see whether these boards have a WAP presence.

I was surprised to find that they do. Albeit not in a functional fashion - three links that are all referenced to themselves. Does anyone know what the history of the WAPsite is?

**jjimm** have you tried accessing the boards through google’s nifty WAP service? If you enter “Straightdope” into the “Entire Web” section of their search page, google’s software strips out all the graphical content and renders the page into WAP suitable format (WML?). Certainly the columns are perfectly readable this way. I’d try the boards but my phone credit is quite low at the moment…

Ooh, now _that’s_ clever.

Though I’m thinking for the sake of my sanity I’d better not pursue this line of addiction facilitation any further…
