Who’s up for a SDMB wiki? In addition to supplementing the various About This Board FAQs it could also address various questions that pop up periodically, and have special sections such as “Ask the…” and “Recommend me an X”… ---

Yeah, and it was made by a POed banned guy. I don’t see the significance. I’m just saying, if someone had the drive, they could fix it up in no time. ---

For any wiki, you really need dedicated people to keep out the vandalism. I’m sure it’d be worse on one where the writers are actual participants in the subject. I mean, have you seen the hostility in some threads? I’d be pretty worried about that hostility invading the wiki, where a contributor can do much more damage. At least, if it is popular. If not, it’ll just fizzle out like the one mentioned above. I really don’t think we could pull it off, but I’d love to be proved wrong. ---
