Apatheist. Is there a God? Don’t know. Don’t care. I have a strong interest though in Catholicism, if only because of the historical and artistic value (plus I’m married to a Catholic). But I’m not interested in religion and don’t agree with where Rome sits on most things. ---

Grew up nominally Christian, although my family was never particularly religious. Christmas and Easter was typically more of a reason to have a large feast than to commemorate any religious event. Went through protracted phases of agnosticism, which was really more about doubting Christianity than anything else. I ended up converting to Judaism. ---

I prefer the term antitheist to describe my beliefs (or lack thereof, depending on your point of view), but in the rare instances it actually comes up, I’ll typically answer with atheist to avoid the inevitable conversation that answer always seems to induce. I’m kinda liking the sound of apatheist though… ---

I **was** an atheist for nine years, but am currently a sort-of Buddhist. It’s my own religion. I make it up as I go along. ---

I’m a [Deist](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism). I can’t tell you how happy I was when I discovered that there was a name for what I believe. I could never define it before that. It was nice to find that such great thinkers (Jefferson, Franklin, Paine, Descartes) belong to the same group. ---

Atheist. I acknowledge that I can’t _prove_ there is no god. Neither can I prove there is no Flying Spaghetti Monster. I don’t need to provide the proof in either case. The burden of proof – or even passable evidence – is on the believer. ---
