I’m watching the [Mythbusters episode](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_%28season_4%29#Episode_58_.E2.80.94_.22Shattering_Subwoofer.22) about subwoofers destroying a car and about what speed you should drive on a washboard road to get the smoothest ride.

They were just showing a quick montage of Grant searching for info on washboard roads, mostly using AOL search on a Mac. But in the last shot of this, it appeared they had moved to Google search, and the mouse was clicking on a link whose title began, “Straight Dope Science Advisory Board.” It was only on the screen for a split-second, so I wasn’t able to catch any more than that, but hey, it’s good to see _The Straight Dope_ back [on televison](http://imdb.com/title/tt0398574/)!

**Q.E.D.** , do we have [you to thank](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=372184)?

Nope, not me; the ep in question was in post production before I was hired. There’s a Staff Report comment thread about this, though:

> Woot! A SD sighting on Mythbusters. In the episode about driving a car on a washboard road, they show Grant searching the web for what causes washboard roads, and then clicking on the link to this mailbag column.
