In [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=251079) thread, it was mentioned that we should have a get together of the SE Michigan dopers somewhere. We had discussed meeting at [Laikon Cafe](http://ae.freep.com/entertainment/ui/michigan/restaurant.html?id=6457&reviewId=1966) ([alternate review here](http://www.planet99.com/detroit/restaurants/9748.html) ), on **Saturday May, 8th** at **7:00pm**. This is the official thread for people who want to sign up to hang out with the cool kids in Michigan. It’s a lovely idea and I would adore seeing you guys again. However, that’s my son’s birthday. We’ll actually be in your neck of the woods (seeing The Lion King in the afternoon) but I am sure we’ll be doing some family-variety celebration that night at my in-laws. Next time! ---
