# "Sea Monster" washes up in China - What is this thing?

You’re talking about people who described gaping fissures in rotting flesh as “orange stripes”. The “hair” is probably strands of decaying tissue–assuming there’s anything hairlike present at all; there’s no sign of hair or fur that I could see in the pictures.
