# Search is not working for me.

Everytime I try to search the page just hangs untill I get a “server timed out error”. This has been going on for a few weeks.

And you’re just mentioning it now?
I don’t know if it is related to [this problem](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=309768), but it’s probably something that Jerry the Tech Og can check out.
You’d think for $7.48 they would have straightened this stuff out by now.

Could you try setting the “Find posts from” option to “A week ago” and “and Newer” and see if that helps at all?
Does it time out for specific search terms only, or for all searches?
