what’s the deal with the search engine?

I tried searching for posts in GQ and all the hits were from 2001; I know there were hits from 2002 that should have come back.

Didn’t we use to be able to search for a word with only three letters? WTF?

If we’ve lost all the posts from 7 December 2001 until the boards went down, I assume that’s going to affect search to some exptent.

Well, it’ll certainly affect the ability to search on threads in 2002. That is to say, all threads in 2002 except those visible without search will not be found.

Ever.

Luckily I haven’t said anything profound since well before Dec. 7th, 2001.

Yes. I used to be able to search for my name. Now it seems I can no longer do so.
