Can you do this? Search for a specific Doper’s threads? The ones they start their own selves? ---

No, AFAIK there’s no way to search just for the threads that a Doper started. Searching under the poster’s name brings up every thread he’s posted in for the time period specified. ---

Further to what DDG said, in that search - which is now time limited IIRC - you can see the thread starter’s name in the second column. ---

Thanks AM/PM, I hadn’t noticed. It may be that changing the number in that link is to be avoided given that it would tax the server. I know that’s why the defaults on the search page were changed. **Mods** - could you advise us on this lest anyone looks for my posts from 18 months ago and is chastised as well as underwhelmed? ---

You are correct, we prefer that you not do that kind of search, as it puts an incredible load on the server. That’s why we modified the search parameters. It means search is not as handy as we’d like it to be BUT it means more people can access the system. All in all, not a bad tradeoff. Now, am/pm, this is the second time in as many days as I’ve seen a post from you intending to make life more difficult around here. Just what is your problem with us? your humble TubaDiva Administrator Chock full of solutions to problems. ---

I had no idea you’d changed the parameters for that reason. I though it was just a change of defaults. Excuse me for not being here every month to follow the logic of board changes. I don’t “have a problem” with you, but you certainly seem to be on my case. What was the other case? The one where I corrected someone’s error, and CKDexter said I had been right all along? ---
