# Seasonal Q: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

That’s right, the song Andy Williams sings.

In the bridge, the lyric goes (in part):

Since when?

And please keep in mind that _A Christmas Carol_ is not particularly scary.

Is this something to do with the Krampus, that wasn’t part of my childhood, but could arguably have been a part of Andy’s?

You are not the first to wonder. [“Scary ghost stories” for Christmas?](http://www.wwaytv3.com/scary_ghost_stories_for_christmas/4/5211)

It is certainly a British tradition, Dickens wrote several Christmas ghost stories. The BBC also have got in on the act - [A Ghost Story For Christmas](http://www.ghoststoryforchristmas.co.uk/).
