Second Annual "Stuff That Works" Thread

Don’t know if anybody responded to this yet, but the Black and Decker Scumbuster is superb.

Scumbuster

Oh my goodness, just based off this thread the BF and I went out and bought the Barkeepers Friend stuff and it works like magic! He’s a machanic and whenever he washes off the oil and grime it stains our white tub, and even industrial cleaner from his shop wouldn’t remove it! Then we brought the new stuff home, I sent him into the bathroom to use it (hey, he makes the mess, he cleans it! :D) and after a couple of minutes he’s yelling, “Holy shit, come look at this!” I even used it on our gas stove that had crud on it from before we moved in, stuff that steel wool and serious elbow grease couldn’t get off. Dab a little of that powder on and wet it to make a paste, rub it in, and BAM! My stove is gorgeous! Thanks!

I totally discount the placebo effect because my friends and I have seen how well glucosamine/chondroitin has worked on our arthritic dogs.

They don’t even know they are getting the gluc/cond because we hide the pill in a goodie!

You can totally rule out the placebo effect when you see the supplement working on your dog.

My veterinarian always tells owners of arthritic pets to give them gluc/cond.

Now, for me. When I was in my late 40’s, my knees started to ache. I bought new shoes…no go. I decided to try the gluc/cond and after a few weeks the aching went away. I am now 57, I still take it and my knees are great!

My grandmother was crippled by arthritis in her knees, to the point that she could barely walk. When my knees started to ache, I thought uh-oh…I am going to end up like my grandmother. :frowning: Glucosamine/chondroitin to the rescue…so far, so good…I am a believer!
