I purchased and sent my gift today - I figured that the post office isn’t going to get any better during the next week, so I might as well get it done. So it’s heading west and slightly north and should be there this week. For the recipient: I really apologize for the bright wrapping paper (inside the box). It was the only paper I had (and I couldn’t face the mall). ---

I got my giftee, but **please clarify for The Clueless:** Are we supposed to expose ourselves (ha!) to our giftee when we send the gift? Like, “to Happless Victim, with Holiday Smooches from JODI?” Or do we send it anonymously (with return addy, natch, but no name) and then tell them who we are later? Like here, maybe? Or what? Oh, and BILLDO and the BEANSTER rock. 🙂 ---

After reading the thread from last year, I think you sign your name to the card or gift or whatever. I saw many people thanking the person when they got it, so I assume that’s what they did… ---

Just for the record, I’ve gone through this thread about twelve times and cannot find where my Secret Santa recipient has a wish list. This leads me to scramble the fighter planes and resort to Plan B: Wing it. ---

I enclosed a card with mine, signed with my user name, but the return address sticker is my real name. I always took the secret to remain secret until the gift magically appears. Personally, I want to know who’s responsible! 😃 ---

My gift will be going out this afternoon. I hope he likes it. Ive thought hard about what to get and I’ve actually ended up doing a couple things. I’ve spent almost 40 dollars total and it’s really kinda lame… wish I would have known more about him. Hope he likes it though. ---

If your giftee’s wish list was really vague (“oh, anything is fine”) or there’s none at all, do what I did: Look through some of their other posts. People tell a **lot** about themselves on these boards. I was able to find out whether or not my giftee had pets, their religion, and some of their hobbies and likes/dislikes. It’s a good thing I found some of the information I did, because I was considering sending them something that I found out they wouldn’t have liked at all! ---

Thanks **Jass**. I’m sure he’ll like it, and he can take it to Dopefests! So are you guys going to open yours right away? Or wait until Christmas? I think I will tear into mine as soon as it gets here. It will probably be my only present this year, as I’ve told family to not bother since I might not even be here on the 25th. Plus I can’t really afford presents for others this year. Unless you count all the presents I’ve vicariously purchased for all my Lawyer’s friends and family. That freaking leach!!! ---
