I just spent 6 1/2 hours at my niece’s birthday party today, and am going to my nephew’s Christmas concert tomorrow, so I don’t know if I’ll get a chance to do my planned shopping this weekend. Depending on when I can get it in, the shipping may occur several days after I’d originally anticipated. ---

My package will be placed in the hands of the postal service tomorrow. Considering where it has to go, it will possibly (probably) not arrive till after Christmas. If the recipient starts posting fretful comments here, I may have to out myself… just for sanity’s sake. 😉 ---

I don’t need to know anyone’s mailing plans – you can wait to report when the mailing has occurred, because I’m not putting the check (well, the red Sharpie mark, actually) next to your name until then. Also, just so folks know – anyone who is shipping out of the continental US will be receiving from outside the continental US – both groups should be prepared to be patient, since it’s likely that most of them will _not_ be getting their packages before the end of the year. ---

Okay, fellow Santas, don’t do what I just did – seal up the parcel nice and snug and _then_ realize you hadn’t put a card/note for your recipient in it. :smack: (Rather than waste the quarter-mile of tape involved, I just put my username with “SDMB” next to my return address. Sorry so impersonal!) ---

I ended up having to pack mine with a Thank You note. It’s at times like these I regret not having good penmanship. Eek. Santee, you can open the box and put the, er, item where you like without spoiling all of the surprise. You’ll know what to do when you see it. ---
