He could easily have also been a grad student or RA/TA living on campus. I find it weird that people want to date people with the same exact birthdate. 30 days, and the guy went out of his way to tamper with evidence and witnesses. That’s ridiculous. The evidence/witness tampering ALONE should have gotten him at least a year. I admit that for the harassment or whatever other charges there were, he probably didn’t deserve much. But trying to coerce witnesses to lie for you is a crime worthy of at least a year in prison, in my estimation. ---

Secondly I want to know why, when that teen commits suicide, it isn’t worth bothering that adult with questions. Plenty are arguing that Clementi committed suicide because of Ravi. If Clementi was my child my first question would not be who was bullying to my son, it would be who was the mystery man he had a sexual relationship with. You keep saying “teenager” as if it is relevant. The guy was a legal adult. This was not statutory rape or some other type of legally-questionable relationship. Your reaction to all this is pretty strange, IMO. I said earlier in the thread that i didn’t think ten years would be an appropriate punishment, but i think that 30 days is too light, especially given his lying and tampering. ---
