# Security Robots should be able to deal with Stairs

Not to say the **ED-209** didn’t make a valiant effort (even if it DID throw a tantrum when it failed).

…I’m faulting the engineers who, knowing what the robot would have to contend with, didn’t give it a locomotion system suited to its mission.  
And that goes for the real-life geniuses who gave us the **K5** , as well.

A \*human \*guard isn’t just going to shoot people down for being in the wrong hallway. A robot guard probably isn’t even programmed for things like the legal definition of murder, or any kind of liability issues.
