# See ya later! I'm going home!

After 2 1/2 years of living in Australia, we’re headed home. I’m looking forward to real pizza, cheap(er) rent, and a cold Christmas. Life here’s been great and I’ve made a lot of good friends, but I’m very ready to see my family and be able to get free shipping from Amazon! Since we’ve been here, I’ve done a bit of travelling, watched a lot of rugby (become a fan of Sonny Bill), spent time in the Pacific Ocean and become intimate with socialized medicine. I’m hoping my little Australian boys will cope okay with the move (and the hellacious flight). My 3 yo, 7 mo, dog, luggage and me will be spending quality time together at LAX while my husband is in immigration (a several hour process). Wish us luck.
So, we’re leaving in a week to do some travelling in Queensland, flying back to the States on the 7th (Melbourne Cup day), but I’m off line as of this evening. See y’all later!

C3, a co-worker of mine just ended a 3-year stint in the US and is heading to his home in Australia. I kidded him about the timing, saying he was leaving now just to have an ‘endless summer’.
(Of course, that means you’re heading back into the start of your second winter…)

Have a good trip **C3** , I’ll remain the Yank in Oz Married to the Aussie on this board. I don’t wanna go back. 🙂 (But I do get homesick and I do envy you a cold Christmas!)
