# Seeing into the life of things

My English professor is a genius.

I went out for Halloween tonight. I had a nice costume. Nothing ever lives up to what your imagination creates.

I am kind of sad. Not sad about Halloween, but sad for other people. Sad for people who live their lives doing nothing but smoking Marlboro Lights and getting highlights and the right tennis shoes.

I could do that and I do but I don’t feel like it anymore. Sorry if, perhaps, I don’t want a SUV and I no longer feel like

She was beautiful and I could think of nothing to say. And I have so much to say.

I like the mountains. They are more ancient than I could hope to ever be. They used to be like the Alps.

…and the expensive delicate ship that must have seen  
Something amazing, a boy falling out of the sky,  
Had somewhere to get to and sailed calmly on.
