# Seeking assistance constructing a trivia quiz

OK, I blew the dust off of my Wits & Wagers game. It will be very handy in preparing my event (although the game is from 2009 so I may have to do some fact-checking).
Just for fun, here are some sample questions & answers:

Google says 8.34. This is a shock to me, as I was taught in school that “a pint’s a pound the world around” and there are eight pints in a gallon, but there you go.

I’d check more significant digits before changing anything, you might just be dealing with proper rounding versus truncation.

A grumble on this one: The stated answer is correct if the question is “how many five-card hands”, but by asking “how many _poker_ hands”, there is an implication that poker is somehow relevant. A vastly smaller number of five-cards hands would be counted as different “five-card poker hands” (_i.e._, the items we’re seemingly asked to count here.)
(Sure, citing a concrete game helps clarify that we’re talking about playing cards, but I still don’t like it.)

It’s dependent on temperature so 8 1/3 is not incorrect.

You might want to specify whether that’s a US gallon or an Imperial one. They’re different sizes: a US gallon is 128 fluid ounces; an Imperial one is 160 fluid ounces.

And assuming 4 degrees C water, a gallon is 3785.411784 g which rounded is 8.3454044520193 lb.
