I’m often tempted to thank Og, but that’s only a thing here. At home, my 6-year-old will correct both parents if we say “thank god” instead of “thank goodness.” ---

There really is a lot of religiousness in these phrases. I like the Godzilla one. Oops, God is in that word. How about yahoo or yeehaw, woo hoo? ---

I always say gesundheit, as my grandparents did. Originally, because that is what I learned but later because that is what I prefer. I tend to say “thank heavens” for gratitude as it doesn’t invoke a deity but the religious seem to think it does. Now, I just need to get others to quit telling me to “have a blessed day” instead of the “goodbye”. ---

I use…’Thanks to all the Gods that ever were!’ I mean, it clearly includes everybody’s God, plus I’d hate to miss any God. Just cause no one has thanked a particular God, since say, mid fifth century, doesn’t mean they should be left out, in my mind. I’d hate to miss out because I thanked the wrong God! This way, I got that covered. ---
