Well, I’m joining the bunny crew, at least for tonight. Sophie the giant schnauzer pup brought a bunny into the house. For a change, it’s a live bunny, not half a dead one. It’s young, but when sitting tucked up on it’s haunches it’s bigger than a tennis ball. I have it in a small animal crate with some hay, carrots and water. I don’t have a water bottle or anything. It has no visible wounds, and although skittish initially, he relaxed in my arms after a few minutes (even a hairless giant is better than a rowdy schnauzer puppy). If it’s still alive tomorrow (I know how fragile wild bunnies are), I’ll get more equipment. Having 4 cats and 4 dogs in the house, I’m quarantining him to a room by himself. StG ---

The wild bunny my dog brought in yesterday? I let him go this afternoon because he seemed big enough to fend for himself. I took hm across the creek in a clear area in the woods after closing the dogs up in the house, and as soon as he started running, one of my cats jumped out of the woods and caught him. I yelled at the cat and he dropped the bunny, and hopefully he didn’t catch him later. StG ---

Ours like nibbling at my husband’s bangs if he lets them lick his face - once they get to the forehead it’s like they think maybe there’s some hay to be sampled there. ---

Still looking for a vet. He’s going need neutering as well. He’s pretty much outgrown the old ferret cage so we got him a new one that has enough room for him to scamper back & forth. ---

Glad to hear he’s thriving. 🙂 Hooray for Lucky! You might be able to find a vet using the [House Rabbit Society’s list of chapters and other groups](http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/index.html), which may have recommendations for you if the rescue society doesn’t have any more leads. One of my buns was neutered last week, and he was eager to run around and be active within a day. (We had to confine him to his hutch for a couple days longer and he was soooo stir-crazy that he zoomed around the playpen once he was allowed out.) The other hasn’t had both testicles descend yet, so we’re waiting to see if it’ll happen on its own before going for a more complex procedure. I’m probably going to make my bunnies their next, larger cage using a portable, collapsible dog crate (on the suggestion of the woman who boards our pets for us), and sliding in wooden dowels to hold up above-ground levels in the cage. Something like [this](http://breyfamily.net/bunnycage.html), but using a super-huge-dog-size collapsible dog crate like [this kind](http://www.petco.com/product/13907/Midwest-Lifestages-Double-Door-Fold-and-Carry-Crates.aspx?CoreCat=LN_Shopping_DogSupplies_CarriersCratesandKennels). She suggested it over the storage cube sides and zip ties method because it’s more easily transportable. ---
