# Seen any funny Wikipedia entries lately?

Some Wiki entries are amusing simply because someone took the effort to explain something trivial or [unimportant](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrunchie). I must say that “muffin top” originated in Australia was new to me. Also, now I know who invented the scrunchie.

Whenever I use the Wikipedia Random Article feature, I seem to get a bio of a pornstar in just a few clicks (look, it works [again](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Kornikova). Are there a disproportionate number of articles about porn actresses, or am I just being blessed by the Wikigods??

I find all entries about members of the Howard Stern show to be hysterical simply because they are so detailed. I swear, Bababooey’s entry is longer than that of George Washington! The box at the bottom of [this one](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artie_Lange) tickles me because it’s normally used for offices of more dignity than “the Jackie chair” like the Presidency of the United States - well, maybe that’s not the best example.

Does the OP allow for including simple Wikipedia fuckwittedness in otherwise normal, or sensible articles?
This line from an article about the Ottawa Treaty gave me a bit of embarrassment when I used it as a cite in the recent Pit thread about Diana worship. It was in the section of the article explaining how Diana’s death was used to help push for ratification of the treaty.
“Due to the amount of influence she [Diana] had with orange juice…”
It has since been excised from the Wikipedia article. I miss it. 😉

I came across this one for [Adak](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adak%2C_Alaska), Alaska yesterday.
In the middle of it there’s a sentence that says, “There is only one vehicle rental business on Adak; ask for Will at the airport when you arrive and he’ll rent you a pickup truck.”

How about the campaign I’ve just read about, subtly to photoshop Status Quo into a myriad of Wikipedia pictures.

Status Quo never made it in America, aside from Pictures of Matchstick Men, a minor hit.
They join bands like the Jam and Small Faces who were much much bigger in the UK than they ever were in the US.

I reverted vandalism on the Wiki page about my hometown the other day.
When I saw it, the “History” section read:

A while back, the entry for 60s singing sensation [Mrs. Miller](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mrs._Miller) had this line:
