A lot of the political blogs are running Dick and/or Lynn Cheney jokes today. And it’s not the internet, but “All Things Considered” on NPR usually has a good joke story on April Fools Day. ---

[This one](http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/adventure/zorktril/news_6024280.html) on [GameSpot.com](http://GameSpot.com) isn’t too bad; the videos were a nice touch (even though you do still have to sit through ads). The [other gags on the site](http://www.gamespot.com/all/news/news_6024273.html) are pretty obvious and predictable. ---

Two of my friends got taken in by the OneRing article. They were none too happy with the whole matter today, even though they were laughing about it. All of the major Harry Potter sites were out in full force. [The Leaky Cauldron](http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org) posted a supposed list of 93 words “pertaining to the 5th book”. (They had me until the “Harry might change his clothes again”.) A site for one of the actors was replaced with a site selling sewing supplies, and a fic site had a hostile takeover of sorts. Very silly. ---

The only one I saw (which I thought was funny) was a fake news item at [gay.com](http://gay.com) stating that eBay had halted two auctions by people claiming to be selling the ribs Cher had removed a couple decades ago. ---
