Seems like an age since I saw a really impressive music video, despite (or perhaps because of) the easy availability of just about every video on YouTube. Someone help me out! ---

I’m sorry, but I just can’t get enough of Beyonce’s “All the Single Ladies.” Absolutely brilliant dancing, lighting and editing! Check it out on YouTube! ---

Here is maybe the best fan-made video of all time, for [Two Weeks by Grizzly Bear](http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=5904993). (Here’s the [official video for the song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjecYugTbIQ). I like the fan video better.) ---

It’s not new, but this video by Massive Attack is one of my favorites: [![](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/aXx3qb4H0po/hqdefault.jpg "Massive Attack - Butterfly Caught") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXx3qb4H0po) ---

[Oscar Wilde - Company of Thieves](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH0hf0qU_zQ) is a nice parody of the movie _Rushmore_. ---

[Dead Weather - Treat Me Like Your Mother](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7QSkI6My1g) Plain, simple, Tarantino-ish. I started liking this band even before I realized Jack White was in it. On drums no less. ---

[Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EyI4p0yjDQ) – pure, unadulterated, geriatric joy. [Venus Hum - Soul Sloshing](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKCjDuzKEP4) – another fun and carefree one that never fails to make me smile. [Flobots - Handlebars](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuK2A1ZqoWs) – what appears to start off as whimsical and mildly self-indulgent turns into something much, much darker. [Supreme Beings of Leisure - Never the Same](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRtDilPtAMA) – amusing retro spy parody. [Within Temptation - Memories](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhzJO34SCoc) – a bittersweet reflection on past love. [Muse - Knights of Cydonia](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_sBOsh-vyI) – spaghetti western + kung fu + Buck Rogers = retro awesome (complete with lip movements not synched with the actual words!) ---

Gah, that video just creeps me out. It’s like I’m watching a bunch of [these](http://www.katsuya-art.com/Leg%20of%20Lamb%20(40.6x60.6%20cm.)%202004.jpg) dancing around. Then they throw in one of [these](http://whitewhaletheatre.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/terminator_sideshow_endo_arm.jpg) for some odd reason. I don’t need to watch Venus and Serena dancing. ---

I’d forgotten what a great song / video Candyman is. Good one! I find \*Lady Gaga’s "Paparazzi "\*oddly compelling and Emimen’s \* “We Made You” \* is interesting, although the best part of the actual song is the woman’s part. And if you’re a fan of Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock you can see him at his nerdy best in Mariah Carey’s _“Touch My Body”._ I must say, I don’t recognize the majority of the suggestions here. Are these videos you’ve found on-line or is there a new music channel that I haven’t heard about? ---

> [@WOOKINPANUB](#): > > Are these videos you’ve found on-line or is there a new music channel that I haven’t heard about? Over-the-air digital channel 20.2 in central North Carolina runs a music video channel called “Video Mix”, aka “The Future of Music Television”. 99% of the videos are horrible, but a few good ones sneak in. Another interesting one is [Declaration (This is it)](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUzGdR7GiPE), featuring Kirk Franklin as both the protagonist and antagonist. ---
