I really really hate to say this, but: Resistance may be futile. I don’t want to see 1000s laying dead or incarcerated. On either side. Yes, the other side too. I feel like they are mentally ill. I refuse to make _myself_ anymore mentally ill than I am, otherwise, by engaging in some rebellion that has absolutely no chance of stopping this runaway train. And will undoubtedly kill me or my loved ones. Make your t-shirts, carry your signs. Scream your hate to others wearing MAGA hats, carrying signs(and no telling what else) have the backing of the federal government, screaming hate right back. I won’t be just like “them”. If you want to help. Give money to the right persons and Vote. Vote. Vote. Don’t watch political news. They are drum beating a Civil war up. Which is unconscionble. I believe. ---

Perhaps there is no line and you will capitulate to whatever happens. Keep your head down and hope for the best. Certainly vote but that’s the least of it (important as it is). This is why students need to be taught history and more than just memorizing dates to pass a test. This is also why conservatives want only their version of history taught (if taught at all). ---

We should’ve planted that tree 10 years ago. We didn’t. Our bad. I do have limits. I’ve never been tested. I don’t know how far they’ll go. I assume if they picked me up to rat on others I’d refuse to tell anything. That’s what I hope. Torture doesn’t appeal to me. You know? I really think I have a pseudo-“cyanide” way out. Insulin. ---

My decision whether I care about another life (man or beast) does not stop because they are mentally ill or of diminished capacity. Maybe their movements should be restricted and doctors involved. I’ll not be making those rules, tho’. It’s not like there are knocks on my door, asking for advice. Anywhoo. I feel like the Trumpers are an actual cult. These people will have to be treated for that. I think from religious cults we do have some idea how to do this. Again…no one cares what I think about it. (If they ask, “reddit needs to go away”, is what I’ll say) ---

I believe it has lost all semblance of being a careful, introspective news or speech institution It’s a big fat joke on humanity. And probably run by communist foreign governments/actors who wish to control our population by memes and stupid in-fighting. Yeah. Another thing I don’t like about the internet and what its doing to folks. IMHO. ---

His official web site is selling merchandise for his next campaign for President. In case anybody forgot, an amendment to The Constitution specifically prevents Trump from serving a third term. Trump’s poll numbers are plummeting. People forgot how much he sucked, but by God is he reminding them. This is a phenomenal time to resist, in the form of widespread protests, financial support for legal challenges, contacting your representatives to pressure them, and more. It’s a terrible time to be quiet. That said, it’s also a fucking _terrific_ time to not be assholes to wavering Magaheads. If you think someone might be less enthusiastic about Trump, please don’t Nelson Muntz them. Do not sneer about the leopard eating their face. Instead, welcome them to the opposition in whatever way is likeliest to get them to join the opposition. Right now, _right now this second_, there’s someone who’s thinking that maybe they don’t want to support Trump anymore. They’re looking across the street. If they see that the left is going to humiliate them and scream at them if they cross the street, _they won’t cross the street_. And we need everyone on our side that we can get. Don’t compromise your morals, but do compromise your expressions of entirely earned schadenfreude. Not because those fuckers are great people, but because we need those fuckers not to be on Trump’s side.
