So a summary of my day: stayed home all day with a sick little man, so I didn’t get any actual work done Told my boss I was expecting so we could start planning my leave and working from home, and he sends out an announcement in an email to all the sales staff letting them know and congratulating me, but I was slightly taken aback that he assumed I wanted everyone to know (I did, but I wanted to be the one to tell them, dernit) Went to the doctor because I have been feeling sick, and found out I do have oral Thrush (gross gross gross gross) and a lung infection. So now I am on antibiotics and a mouth rinse that tastes like rotten orange juice Went to the fabric store with the twins to pick out fabric for the baby’s car seat cover my BFF is going to make for me (they picked out really cute fishy/undersea prints with rainbow colors) Then got home to find the wet spot I thought was spilled water on the carpet in the twins’ room did not dry after I soaked it up and had spread and now seems to be a leak of some sort seeping up through the floor. I am glad we rent because I can’t imagine how much this is going to cost to repair. We moved the twins to the blow up mattress in the play room to sleep because I don’t know what is seeping through the floor plus it smells musty. Such a weird day ☹ ---

Hello, all. First time in an MMP; it seems I’ve been missing something… I seem to have been in sort of an awkwardly-opposite situation with my dad… I’m the youngest of four sons, and I thought he did all right by me. I’ve found out over the past year that that was because he learned how to be a good dad on my three older brothers, and it was some hard learnin’… The other three all decided that they were done with him and were just putting up with him because, you know, dad, but when he passed away, nobody went to his funeral except the honor guard the military provided. ---

Welcome, Ethi! I am still sort of a newcomer and can’t remember the initiation fee. Probably brownies. 😛 Homemade beef stew is done; I think it’s a _tad_ salty, but otherwise very good and yummy. We’re in upper 80s, crowding 90, for the next few days. It is OCTOBER. It is supposed to be a good deal cooler than this! :mad: I now feel stupid. DH and I were trying to figure out why two work shirts of his (same brand, style, color, purchased at same store but not sure if at the same time) fit him differently. We figured out that one was a regular, the other a tall. We’d thought we were buying him the same size each time, and there’s no real reason to buy tall for a man who’s about 5’8"-5’9" (except that he’s decided he likes the longer sleeves, so has requested that I buy tall for him when buying work shirts in the future). ---
