I’m a pretty swell guy. I’ve been here 6 months, and haven’t gotten in any trouble. I’ve been featured in threadspotting 3 different times (probably a record.) I’ve posted over 1200 times (no padding here, they were all substantive,) in all different forums. That’s gotta be worth something. Probably Millions. Why don’t I just head on over to ebay and sell my SDMB registration? (everybody thinks Scylla is a girl anyway) Would the powers that be object? ---

I ended up posting 50 times my first day, and only 5 were at a “post party”. So, if you get anything for your count, let me know and I’ll spend more time here to catch up. Should take about 3 weeks. I doubt anyone would pay though for something like a post count, that can be modified by the board techs. They could make themselves 1,000,000 posters with a couple of keystrokes. And if they wanted to discourage it (Why, I couldn’t guess - it’s free publicity, after all) they could knock your count down to about, say, 6. ---

Read in the WSJ that some guy got over $1,000 for an Everquest character, and wondered. But I was just kidding. You don’t happen to know how to remove a listing over there, do you? 🙂 ---

Let’s see, the sum total of all my work is worth $6.50. That’s roughly a McDonalds Value Meal, Supersized. That’s also only about 1/2 cent per post. The last line of the fine print says “except that message board users retain the right to republish or repost their own work.” Since the name was your own creation, it’s yours to exploit. ---
