# Selling Other Stores Gift Cards

Does a store make a profit selling another store’s gift card? Perhaps it is just done for “curb appeal” to draw you to their store for the convenience and hopes you will buy something else, too?

Yes they get a percentage of the value of every card. This is why many charities sell them too.
