Do the lyrics to [this](http://lyrics.duble.com/lyrics/L/live-lyrics/live-selling-the-drama-lyrics.htm) song have any real meaning?

I always thought it was about child abuse when the song by Live came out. But I misheard the lyrics “I’ve been here before” to be “I’ve been a little boy.”

Anyone know?

I use both Macs and PCs and sometimes I forget about spyware etc.

Whenever confused about lyrics, my first instinct is to go to [SongMeanings.net](http://www.songmeanings.net), which I found through this board. This song, being pretty popular, has a fair bit of discussion going already- [http://www.songmeanings.net/artist.php?aid=317](http://www.songmeanings.net/artist.php?aid=317).

The interpretation I like best- it’s an attempt to reconcile faith with how miserable & petty his church has been in the past.

Granted, there’re no convincing points made on that page, and I couldn’t get much on my own, so I can’t say much. But it’s a pretty song, anyway, that I’d forgotten about up until I read this.
