Since I don’t live on the coast, it’s easy for me to forget about the Coast Guard. Yet, when I see footage of the rescues, I’m often left speechless. There is no way I could do what you do. I get motion sick just watching the Coast Guarder dangling out of the helicopter. Thanks to you and your coasties for risking your lives for ours. ---

My stepson’s in the Coast Guard, stationed now in Corpus Christi. Unfortunately, he’s on medical leave, and not participating is killing him. This is what those guys live for. ---
