The two senators who changed their position were Richard Burr (R-NC) and John Ensign (R-NV). Both had voted against cloture. ---

I was too limited in my own perception to realize that what you actually meant to say in this thread is: “Yes, gay persons should be allowed to serve in the military without any restrictions whatever, just as black Americans should have been integrated equally into the military by 1917, no matter that a certain number of loud bigots opposed it.” I’ve got it right now, don’t I? ---
