Nate Silver addressed this in a post the other day; briefly, if the polls are approximately correct, or have underestimated Democrats, we should have a confirmed majority in both houses tomorrow night. If that doesn’t happen, the polls have underestimated Republicans, although our lead in the polls is large enough that we can afford to underachieve significantly and still win in the end. ---

I’ve been in Texas for all of my 54 years, and in my house here in far north DFW for 20 years. Talarico’s is only the second yard sign I’ve put out in that time, so like someone said above, I have my fingers crossed so hard that they’re hurting. If he does pull it off, I can not WAIT to hear the crying and bitching about all the “cheating” and how it was “rigged by the Democrats”, in a state where Republicans have controlled every branch of government for three decades. ---
