That part isn’t US security restrictions…that’s Canadian law, to keep criminals and “undesirable elements” out.
Not if you’re the Pentagon, and you need to justify a $400 billion budget.
Yup. Even though 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudi Arabian. Know what nationality was missing amongst that group? You’ll never guess.
There has indeed been a sustained series of bombings by terrorists, not just in London, but all over the UK, costing thousands of lives and even including a bomb aimed at the Government.
Thank goodness you know your history. Sometimes Americans give the impression that only outrages in the US count.
But why do you mention Al Qaeda?
These outrages were by the IRA (partly supported by misguided US money ‘for the widows and orphans’).
It’s widely known that Ireland is also a hotbed of Al Qaeda activity, supported by the militant Sunni arm of the IRA. Also, US intelligence officials have determined that Saddam Hussein moved large quantities of WMDs across the border into Ireland shortly before the invasion of Iraq. We know where they are. They’re in the area around Belfast and Derry, and east, west, south, and north somewhat.
The basic difficulty with the suggestion that the “war on terror” is a world war is precisely encapsulated by what you here recognise: the war on terror is not an open fight between nations or parts of them.
While the word “war” has various meanings, the meaning relevant to the phrase “world war” is precisely open fighting between nations or parts of them.
Action to bring to justice and/or negative an international extremist group who commits crimes in various jurisdictions does not constitute a war.
Latvian. What do i win?
And to bring these terrorists to justice, we’re going to invade Scotland next week.
