# Send a photo to a cell phone?

My daughter wants to use a photo taken with our digital camera on her cell phone (wallpaper or something). She asked me to print it out so she could take a picture of it with her phone. Surely there’s a better way to do this. The phone is (obviously) a camera phone, but it doesn’t have bluetooth.

[Pix2Fone](http://www.pix2fone.com/) is a free service that lets you upload any picture and then send it to your cell phone to use as wallpaper.

Yep, emailing is the easiest way. The email depends on your carrier, so do some research there. For Verizon, it’s 1234567890(your 10 digit number, obviously)@vzwpix.com. All the major carriers and most regional ones will have something similar.

Maybe I’m missing the point here, but if the cellphone can take photos, then it’s modern, and has likely come with in the box with a nice fat CD full of Windows software and a USB cable. Can’t you just email your daughter the photo, and she just hooks up the phone to her 'puter an uploads it?

What’s the specific phone model & your service carrier? Some phones can be hooked up to your PC.

No connection to computer or CD that I know of.
It’s a Pantech C300 and the carrier is Cingular.

Granted, I’ve only owned a couple camera phones, but none of them ever came with any software.

In the box no, but you probably could have gone to the companys website.
Nokia has a free phone suite , while Motorolas phone tools is pricey.

Just email the photo to her phone. I can’t think of an easier way, phone tools/USB cable included.
You said she’s on Cingular, so email the photo to (her 10 digit phone number)@mobile.mycingular.com. She’ll receive it as a picture message and be able to set that photo as wallpaper.

My Motorola V3 (over a year old now) came with the software in the box. You probably pay for it indirectly (my phone is on a contract, so the phone is “free” [inverted commas]) but the software is definitely part of the purchase.
