# Send me to Dubfest!! Ok everyone, I really would like to go to the Dubfest coming up next month. I have never been east of Daytona and I think it would be a wonderful experience. I have always wanted to visit Europe or pretty much anywhere else in the world. The problem is money! There is no way I could afford to fly to Europe. What’s it cost anyway? I am assuming it is a lot. What does this have to do with you all? Well, if everyone sent me just 50 cents or maybe even a dollar, I would be able to go. Is any other American going? We need to represent!! I will be our spokesperson. In return, I will give you lots of love, maybe some loving, many pictures, happy stories, my first born child… whatever you want. Maybe I will name my first born son “Cecil”. Or I will name him after the person who sends the most money. This is all open for discussion… So, would anyone be interested in sending a Bear to Europe?? I am sure you could find a dollar in the cracks of your sofa. You dont need it that bad, do ya? Send it to me so I can go to Dubfest. Don’t worry about money for hotel or whatever. I will just sleep on the street for a couple days or something. Just get me there and back. I will handle the rest. Hell, I probably would not even sleep the whole time I was there. As long as I do not end up like that one guy stuck at the airport for 30 years… So, anyone willing to sponsor me? I am willing to go with logos and screen names plastered all over my clothes so that I look like a race car. Let me know what you all think. Bear, you could probably find a flight for about $500 (maybe even less) round trip. The hostel I’m staying in is about 15 bucks a night -or- you might even be able to convince one of the dopers to put you up. Tell ya what, if you make it down here, I’ll buy your dinner one night. 🙂 ---

Oh, and there will be 3 Americans, 2 Canadians, 1 Dutch-Boy, 1/2 a Korean, and possibly a Dane. For some reason I’m thinking Ruadh is American, too, so make that 4. What we really need are Australians and South Americans. ---

Hey, Bear, where are your people from? If you could remedy our shortage of attendees from the Southern Hemisphere, I’ll send ya five bucks. 🙂 Also, what makes you think that we should send you to DubDope. Why you and not Evilbeth, or DRY, or AudreyK? Perhaps we should have a contest to find out which Doper is truly worthy of being sponsored. Of course, judging by the response to this thread, we’ll only have enough to send the lucky Doper a postcard. 😉 ---

You know, I was thinking about this last night, and I occured to me: Why should I help Bear raise money to go to Dublin when I’m so badly in need of money to go to Madagascar? Think about it, Bear probably has this exciting swinging singles lifestyle, while I’m stuck at home watching Pokemon all day. Dangit, I need some excitement in my life. Plus, I’d be going to film a documentary…dontcha want to help out the arts? ---
