I have to say, one of the reasons I keep coming back to The Pit so often is the amusement I get when people like **Starving Artist** (and now **DrDeth** ) are convinced they’re WINNING! when they’re actually wrong in every conceivable way and it’s painfully obvious that everyone else in the thread is just engaging them so they can PALATR. It’s a phenomenon I don’t think I’ve encountered in the real world (though I don’t watch Fox News, so maybe I’m missing out there). ---

I am a total neutral on the basic dispute, since my sole knowledge of _A Song of Ice and Fire_ or _Game of Thrones_ is derived from passing mentions on TV Tropes. I like fantasy, but this one doesn’t sound like my thing, so I don’t plan to read/watch. I do have to join the general consensus that the OP is being totally unreasonable and self-centered, demanding some perceived “right” to violate the wishes of participants in a thread just to show off fancied intellectual superiority. **DrDeth** , just how old ARE you? Between the petulant hissy fit and the screen name, I’m guessing about twelve. ---
