So many of the above. Fingernails on a chalk board. No, not the sound. The FEEL. Insects buzzing around my head, whether they land on it or not. Tooth pain. A hangnail when I slip a hand into a pocket. ---

My hair. I’m a guy, and I like to keep it relatively short, but when it gets a little bit longer, I ALWAYS feel like it’s in my eyes and otherwise getting in the way. It’s parted to the side, and if I’ve been walking up a hill on a humid day and I start sweating, the sensation I feel from my hair is just excrutiating and I have no real idea why! When it gets long enough to flirt with the top of my ears, that also drives me up the wall. I feel that no matter how many times I brush it behind my ear, it finds a way to move back and stick outward. It’s to the point where I will actually get legitimate chills if I see someone with especially greasy hair (bonus chills if said greasy hair is long and interfering with their face/ears/etc). ---

Getting sand all over my feet at the beach. Pulling out a booger only to discover a nose hair is hopelessly stuck in it and will be pulled out by the root. That holy crap I am gonna puke moment ---

Getting a lift off the stove. There must have been a wiring issue with my Mom’s stove - if you touched a pot and the knob with damp hands you got that horrible electric buzz. Not painful, just icky. ---

Take into account that we lived 400km away, we might spend 14 days in her home every year ☹ Those cords they give you with corporate access cards to hang them from your neck. The ones we got this time are very soft, I think they may actually be 100% cotton, yet I can’t stand them. ---

Touching a dry soft microfiber cloth, like [this kind](http://www.made-in-china.com/showroom/idi-housewares/product-detailbqxJwHVKAYWX/China-Microfiber-Cloth-Towel-4041-.html), with dry hands. (Random link, just to show the type I mean.) They feel like they stick to my hands like velcro. It feels gross. The feel of unglazed ceramic. Everything about broken nails is annoying, too. If I can cut the nail down short enough to get rid of the break, my finger/toe feels really sensitive where it’s suddenly exposed, and it feels gross. If I can’t and I have to wait for the nail to grow more, it’s not smooth and gets caught in things. I currently have a torn toenail that’s driving me nuts, and it’s taking forever to grow out. Grr! ---

Imagine this, if you dare: Way back in elementary school, I had a teacher who used a metal chalk holder similar to [this](http://www.custom-product.com/upload/2098/2161uij1/deluxe-chalk-holder-cualloy-metal-17.jpg) (but not as fancy, just a metal tube) when writing on the blackboard. He didn’t like to waste chalk, so he would use each piece up until the bitter end, where every other stroke caused a metal-on-chalkboard _ **scrape** _ sound. I don’t know how I managed to get out of that class (relatively) mentally intact. mmm ---

When I was a teenager I had pretty long hair. When I went swimming and put my head underwater, then came up, my hair would be in my eyes. I had a little head shake that I’d do to clear it. Had? I still do that head shake, and I’ve been balding for 30 years. I’ve been shaving my head for 3. I guess I still get water in my eyebrows and it feels like hair in my eyes. Or something like that. ---

It happens in the winter when my skin is all dry and microscopic hooks of keratinized skin form on my fingers. It doesn’t have to be microfiber cloths; sometimes ordinary blankets, towels, etc. will do it. I’m living on easy street now that it’s 100 degrees with plentiful moisture in the air, but summer doesn’t last long enough here. ---
