Back in the end of June I had pain in the left side of my tailbone that was fairly bad, like a bruise or damaged muscle, without any discoloration. It spread down to the back of my left hip socket. It has only gotten worse. There’s clear inflammation and I’d say the pain this morning is about a 6 (on a scale of 10 = you’re on fire). I’m used to pain. I live with it every day. This is a bit…much. Thinking I need to see my doctor, but I’m severely annoyed that, like last time, he’ll only tell me he’s not giving me any more pain meds but otherwise do little. I don’t want pain meds, I want to know why this area of my body has been inflamed and in so much pain for 2.5 months. Because I tried to go for a drive yesterday and it hurt too damned much so I turned around and came home. Because I then walked 2.1 miles in that much pain trying to loosen it up and strengthen the muscles. ---

Made an appointment for a week from Monday. We’ll see what he says. Will probably tell me to go see a chiropractor or physical therapy. I walked 2.1 miles yesterday trying to strengthen the muscles and loosen things up, so it’s not like I’m immobile and letting this happen. ---

^^ concur. You need someone who can look for other sources of pain management besides just pills, which are myriad. Yesterday was the anniversary of Other Shoe’s death, which wasn’t so bad thanks to lots of distractions. Friday morning (the run-up to it) sucked more, made worse by the fact that I work in an open floor plan and have no way to hide any emotions that decide to show up. But I made it, and I’ll continue to make it. Happiness does not always elude me. All the best to the pain sufferers and other medical issues y’all are facing. Cuz damn!! :eek: and ☹ _repeats to self_ I still have my health. I still have my health. I still have my health… :o ---

We haven’t seen each other in 20+ years and our only contact in that time is wishing each other happy birthday on Facebook. If she contacts me again I’m going to flat-out ask her what’s up. ---

I stumbled across some particular trees the other day which I’ve been wanting for several years. I bought three, brought them home, measured where I wanted them, and planted them. They look good from the patio. From Inside the house I clearly should have shifted two of them three feet to the left. :smack: This is going to bother me for the rest of my life, I’m sure of it. Decades after I move I’ll remember this and grimace. ---

When we parted I told her I was very happy to have caught up with her because we hadn’t seen each other (except on FB) for awhile. She said she’d call me. Dammit, my cat has started a pattern of throwing up late at night. Multiple times Friday night/Saturday morning, and three times last night. I’m hoping he really does stop before I go to bed, because if he’s still doing it after I go to bed, I haven’t found it yet. Last night one of his spots of choice was under the dining table. I had to move chairs and crawl under there to clean it up. ---

Why do they always head for the nearest carpeting to spew their vomit? Last night one of my cats gave signs of impending vomit. He was right near me, so I scooped him up and carried him into the kitchen, where he did it on the floor. The small scratch on my arm was worth it!
