Okay, in nearly every thread that’s come up on Mel’s movie, folks have gleefully been suggesting titles for sequels/prequels, so I thought it’s time we devoted an entire thread to the subject. Over on Aint It Cool News, they had one Talkback thread wherein dozens of folks contributed taglines for the Passion … I should probably post some of those over here. 😉 My own contribution on-topic : Passion II : Messiah-Man. Mild-mannered Peter Parker, bitten by a radioactive Messiah, inherits the proportionate speed and strength of the Son of God. Local newspaper magnate P. Pontius Pilate seeks to crucify the young hero, even as he does battle with the nefarious Red Goblin. "Messiah-Man, Messiah-Man,/ does the things that a Savior can./ Saves a flock, any size… / If he gets killed, he will arise…/ Look out, here comes Messiah Man!" “Messiah-sense… tingling!” ---

Admittedly not _quite_ on topic, but… …here in London, at any rate, _The Passion_ (with its tagged-on morning-after scene of resurrection) went on general release at about the same time as _Dawn Of The Dead_. I think this ironic coincidence was rather hilarious, but judging from the lack of waggish or witty comments it seems not many people noticed it. ---
