# sequels better than the original

Ace Ventura 2 was way better than the first one.

“Kinda hot in these rhinoes!”  
What gets me is that everytime a sequel comes out some critic just has to say “Better than the first!” but this is almost **never** the case.

When this question came up a year or so ago **Eve** suggested the second in the **Thin Man** series. I agree.

_Apollo 13_ was much better than the first twelve _Apollo_ movies.

Also, Siskel and Ebert did say that the second Brady Bunch movie was better than the first. Not having watched either, I can’t venture an opinion on this matter.

I just watched _Addams Family_ and _Addams Family Values_ back to back, and while they’re both hysterical, I’d give a slight edge to the second one primarily because of Christina Ricci’s budding adolescence.
