Ace Ventura 2 was way better than the first one.

What gets me is that everytime a sequel comes out some critic just has to say “Better than the first!” but this is almost never the case.
When this question came up a year or so ago Eve suggested the second in the Thin Man series. I agree.
Apollo 13 was much better than the first twelve Apollo movies.
Also, Siskel and Ebert did say that the second Brady Bunch movie was better than the first. Not having watched either, I can’t venture an opinion on this matter.
I just watched Addams Family and Addams Family Values back to back, and while they’re both hysterical, I’d give a slight edge to the second one primarily because of Christina Ricci’s budding adolescence.
