I was going to post the Oppressor Guilt and red jeans myself, because that’s a word that’s sometimes used in relation to straight U.S. males, and the red jeans is enough of a non sequitor to make it funny. To try to make it unfunny, the connection is like, ‘We live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. Everyone knows small-town guys are a bunch of jerks. So make them feel guilty about being jerks. Then they’ll either stop being jerks, or everyone will know to avoid them.’ It’s not funny on deep analysis; but the juxtaposition looks funny on first glance. Like slipping on a banana peel. ---
